At work, Jackie must deal with a dying man Eli Wallach who refuses further treatment, while Eddie faces the possibility of being replaced by an automated dispensory. Meanwhile, Zoey must work up the courage to ask for her new stethoscope back after Dr. O'Hara takes it. Zoey, lamenting a day of "unexciting" cases being assigned to her, ends up dealing with a key, tragic "first" every nurse must overcome.
Jackie bucks the system to assist a year-old girl caring for her lupus-stricken mother, while male bonding between Eddie and Dr. Cooper puts a damper on Jackie's usual mid-shift tryst in the pharmacy back-room.
Cooper's mother is admitted with a gall bladder attack and reveals a family secret about her son's upbringing. Akalitus takes charge of a foundling abandoned at the nurses' station; O'Hara has a personal crisis Coop finds out that Jackie has a child. Akalitus still has the foundling infant left at the hospital; Coop reveals to Eddie that Jackie has a child.
Jackie gets tossed out of the mother-daughter dance lessons after a clash with a mother whom she knew from her high school days. Season 2 [ ] Picture No. However, Jackie is soon on the verge of losing it when Coop files a formal complaint against her, Eddie overdoses and she runs dry of drugs.

S2, Ep3. Everyone at the hospital is put out - especially Dr. O'Hara - when Dr. Cooper is listed in a monthly magazine as one of the 25 best doctors in Manhattan. Jackie is less than pleased when Kaitlin shows up on a play date at her house. She's even less pleased when Kaitlin sees her snorting a line. At the hospital, she's almost caught taking drugs out of the dispensary using Zoey's access number. Back at home, she's dumbfounded when she sees who husband Kevin's new friend is.
S2, Ep4. Jackie is still incensed at having found Eddie in her house and tells him to stay away; he's not very receptive to the idea. Zoey performs brilliantly when a young child is brought in unable to breathe. A patient with stage 3 lymphoma is brought to the hospital but Dr. Cooper doesn't react well to Jackie's suggested treatment.
She decides to help him out anyways. O'Hara and self-confessed sex addict Sam take it to the next level.
S2, Ep5. Jackie is mad a husband Kevin when he reveals that he went to the movies with Ginny Flynn and the kids during the children's play date. Jackie decides to sleep on the couch. At the hospital, Gloria Akalitus is still concerned about the seepage in the drug lockup and posts a security guard at the machine, which doesn't seem to do much good. Sam still pursues Dr. O'Hara, who saw it all as a one night stand. O'Hara also reveals to Jackie that she knows a famous international TV news correspondent.
Akalitus asks Dr. Cooper if he will be the face of a new promotional S2, Ep6. Jackie sleeps with Eddie at his apartment and tells him to stop seeing Kevin.
