We'll never know. More recaps:. Tracy is stressed that fashion week is rapidly approaching and approaches Alexa about making a few phone calls. Although Tracy has made it clear from the beginning that she wants to work at fashion week, Alexa is offended that Tracy is "using" her.
Alexa makes her work for it, but eventually agrees to call Edward at Warren Tricomi salon in Manhattan. When Tracy shows up, she has flashbacks to the time Gayle took Tracy and Olivia to the same salon for a "make-under. Edward looks at her portfolio and says Tracy's experience doesn't fit what he would need for fashion week, but is willing to give her a trial — as long as her nails come off.
She has 10 minutes to cut a model's hair and attach bangs. Tracy is nervous, and Edward critiques her constantly. She runs out of time and makes a few mistakes. Edward tells her she isn't cutting it. It's his reputation at stake and he just doesn't trust Tracy. But, he says, she can come with him to the tents during fashion week because he likes to help people who are young and starting out. Doria harps at Olivia, telling her she doesn't want the high school students — the ones that Olivia recruited into the salon in the first place — looking like drag queens.
Next week I'm keeping a "drag queen" count. As Doria and Olivia watch the homecoming parade Doria invited herself along , Doria makes snide remarks as the girls go by on their float.
To Olivia's clients she says "Wow that is smokey! I can see it from here. A moment later, she sees her client. She follows in a sing-songy voice, "Fabulousssss. Love ittttttt. This sends Olivia over the edge and she confronts Doria abut why she treats her the way she does. Doria explains that she's trying to help Olivia mdash; to "mold" her. Wrong answer, Doria.
Olivia rushes back to the salon to talk to Gayle, who decided earlier in the episode that it's no coincedence Olivia is always in the center of the drama. There are too many 'coincidences' on this show. Anthony's cousin Lorenzo just so happened to date two women who had worked with Anthony? I'm pretty sure New Jersey is not all that small that everyone seems to know each other! I have to wonder if Gigi and Frankie are even a real couple. It was mentioned here that Frankie and his mom were on some home makeover show!
Frankie then shows up on this show as a hairstylist's boyfriend? I guess the producers basically knew most of the people hired for this show, they probably produced the makeover show too. Very sloppy editing etc all around I always wondered if Frankie and Gigi were a real life couple as well. I can't seem to find any information on them.
Yes, Doria supposedly worked at Gatsby in the past, when she was younger. This information was mentioned on the show the afternoon she loudly waltzed into Gatsby, then told Gayle she'd love to work there again.
This was around the time Olivia assumed she was going to be the Senior make-up artist at Gatsby. Doria getting hired ruined that promotion for Olivia. The background story was that Doria left Gatsby to live on the Jersey shore! The cast of Jerseylicious at the premiere in Hoboken, NJ.
